Hillman Scallops on the Half Shell with
Ginger Wasabi Lime Vinaigrette Sauce
12 Hillman IQF Scallops on the Half Shell (thawed)
1 tsp chopped shallots
1 tsp minced ginger
1/3 cup fresh lime juice
1/3 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup olive oil
1 tbs. pre made Wasabi
3 tbs. toasted sesame seeds
salt & pepper to taste
Cut scallops out of shell & put in bowl to the side (cutting meats loose makes it easier for customer to remove). Place shallots, ginger, lime juice, Wasabi, and soy sauce in the bowl of a food processor. Turn processor on high and slowly add olive oil into the bowl until it has thickened or emulsified. Add salt and pepper to taste. Pour vinaigrette over scallops and let marinate for 10 min.
Place scallops back on shell. Spoon vinaigrette over scallops. Top with toasted sesame seeds and serve.
